Volunteer: Salesforce for Nonprofits Set Up
About the role
This volunteer opportunity is provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit that creates social change through pro bono connections. The organization needs help managing its nonprofit Salesforce account to improve strategies related to automation and streamlined processes. The organization has been using Salesforce for the past year at a very basic level, with approximately 5,000 contacts and about 10 emails sent. Educate. Radiate. Elevate.’s purpose is to strengthen the educational achievement of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students who are facing economic hardship by providing them with high-quality instruction from experienced tutors who will assist them with academics and test prep as well as essential learning and life skills. The mission of Educate. Radiate. Elevate.’s is to minimize the disproportionate learning losses for low-income students of color and to provide economic, social, and emotional stability for the youth served, their families, and their community.
Responsibilities
- Manage the nonprofit Salesforce account
- Improve integrations with Google Drive, WordPress, and other tools
- Differentiate accounts and set permissions for various staff roles
- Simplify processes for inputting contact information and segmenting lists for email campaigns
Requirements
- Experience with the nonprofit version of Salesforce
- Experience setting up and managing Salesforce for maximum results
- Knowledge of technology related to automation and integrations
