What You'll Do Register ISBNs and handle copyright filing for each published titleIdentify content requiring permissions (quotes, images, lyrics, excerpts) and secure necessary rightsMaintain records of permissions granted and any associated terms or feesAdvise the editorial team on fair use boundaries and when permission is neededKeep up to date on copyright and publishing regulations relevant to our workLiaise with external rights holders or licensing bodies as needed Who You Are Familiarity with copyright law, fair use, and publishing rights (formal legal background not required, but helpful)Detail-oriented and comfortable with administrative/legal paperworkGood research and communication skills for reaching out to rights holdersPrior experience in publishing, licensing, or a related legal field a plus What You'll Gain Practical experience in publishing rights and permissionsExposure to the legal side of the book production processFlexible, remote volunteering
