We place a positive focus on entrepreneurship enabling youth and young adults to achieve moral maturity to become self-sufficient and less vulnerable. , Organization YAMM Location Remote (Volunteer) Type Volunteer, Part-Time Commitment 4–6 hours/week Start Date Immediate About The Role We're looking for a Rights & Permissions Coordinator to handle the legal and administrative side of publishing — including ISBN registration, copyright filing, and securing permissions for any quoted or referenced material. What You'll Do Register ISBNs and handle copyright filing for each published titleIdentify content requiring permissions (quotes, images, lyrics, excerpts) and secure necessary rightsMaintain records of permissions granted and any associated terms or feesAdvise the editorial team on fair use boundaries and when permission is neededKeep up to date on copyright and publishing regulations relevant to our workLiaise with external rights holders or licensing bodies as needed Who You Are Familiarity with copyright law, fair use, and publishing rights (formal legal background not required, but helpful)Detail-oriented and comfortable with administrative/legal paperworkGood research and communication skills for reaching out to rights holdersPrior experience in publishing, licensing, or a related legal field a plus What You'll Gain Practical experience in publishing rights and permissionsExposure to the legal side of the book production processFlexible, remote volunteering
