Brief Description Duties & Responsibilities: Responsibilities Volunteer program support interns engage in a variety of responsibilities under the supervision of PAWS Chicago staff. Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to: Participating in community engagement, recruiting, and training new volunteersEnsuring a smooth workflow for volunteer onboardingCommunicating with prospective and current volunteersMaintaining the volunteer databaseManaging general email boxes and responding to messages in a timely mannerPreparing and analyzing volunteer reportingProviding guidance and supervision for volunteers Requirements Passion for animals and belief in our mission to create a No Kill ChicagoExcellent written and verbal communications, with the ability to represent the mission, goals, policies, and core values of PAWS Chicago in a sincere and energetic mannerAbility to adapt, work collaboratively with a team, and solve problems proactivelyOrganizational skillsCommitment to a high level of customer serviceBasic computer skills, including e-mail and Microsoft OfficeA genuine interest in, and desire to learn more about animal welfare and the No Kill movement Intern Schedule PAWS Chicago requires that interns complete 12-20 hours per week over the course of a typical (3-6 month) semester for a minimum of 100 hours on the job.Schedules and work accommodations will be discussed individually.This position is based out of the Lincoln Park Adoption Center (1997 N.
