Volunteer: Operational Framework for Infant Support Program Expansion
About the Opportunity
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. We'd like to partner with a skilled professional who can help us create a standardized operational framework for the Welcome Baby Basket Initiative.
Scope of Work
The volunteer will develop a comprehensive operational framework including:
- Program structure and workflow
- Eligibility and distribution guidelines for partner hospitals
- Recommended basket item categories
- A checklist and quality-control process
- Inventory/assembly/storage/delivery workflow
- Risk mitigation
- Outcome measurement recommendations
Desired Volunteer Experience
We are seeking a volunteer with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Nonprofit program development
- Healthcare operations
- Project management
- Process improvement
- Program implementation
- Quality improvement
- Operations management
Impact
Volunteers will help the Foundation deliver immediate, practical support to families of infants born with cleft and craniofacial conditions by standardizing a scalable hospital-based basket program. This work will strengthen early care pathways, increase family support at birth, and enable expansion to more hospitals and children.
Collaboration and Support
The Foundation will collaborate closely with the volunteer, share program background during onboarding, and engage hospital partners as needed. We will review deliverables and prioritize practical recommendations for pilot implementation and scale-up.
