Volunteer Online as a Conversation Partner — Teen Volunteer Opportunity

About the role

ENGin matches English‑fluent volunteers with Ukrainian conversation partners for weekly online practice. Since launching in 2020, the program has connected over 38,000 Ukrainians with more than 32,000 volunteers worldwide. As a teen Conversation Partner you will be paired with a Ukrainian teen close in age for one‑hour video chats each week, helping them build confidence in English while sharing your own culture and gaining cross‑cultural experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly one‑hour video chats with your matched Ukrainian teen.
• Help your partner practice conversational English.
• Share aspects of your life, culture, and interests (e.g., music, gaming, school, pop culture).
• Build a genuine friendship through cultural exchange.

Requirements

• Be over the age of 13.
• Have English fluency.
• Have a reliable internet connection.
• Commit to at least 1 hour per week for a minimum of 12 weeks.
• Obtain parental/guardian consent (required for teen volunteers).
