Volunteer Online as a Conversation Partner — Teen Volunteer Opportunity

About the role

ENGin matches English‑fluent volunteers with Ukrainian conversation partners for weekly online conversation practice. Since launching in 2020, the organization has connected over 38,000 Ukrainians with over 32,000 volunteers; 99% of learners report breaking the language barrier after three months, and 79‑85% form lasting friendships. As a teen Conversation Partner you will be paired with a Ukrainian teen close in age for weekly one‑hour video chats, helping your partner practice conversational English, sharing life and culture, and building a genuine friendship.

Requirements

• Be over the age of 13
• English fluency
• A reliable internet connection
• Ability to commit to 1 hour/week for at least 12 weeks
• Parental/guardian consent (required for teen volunteers)
• No prior tutoring experience or Ukrainian language skills required

Schedule
