(Volunteer) Linkedin Lead
Gender Freedom Society is a 100% volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit based virtually in the United States. We are dedicated to educating and supporting the transgender community while striving to normalize transgender existence within broader society. Through educational platforms, outreach efforts, and moderated social media, we cultivate a culture where transgender rights are respected, and gender diversity is celebrated as vital to human identity.
About the role
Gender Freedom Society is seeking a volunteer LinkedIn Lead responsible for managing the organization's presence on LinkedIn. This role includes posting for Gender Freedom Society as well as assisting the volunteer Recruiting Manager with reaching out to prospective volunteers. Candidates for this position must be residents of North America.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to increase engagement and reach on the organization's LinkedIn profile.
- Curate the GFS image for networking.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to develop and implement content and advertising campaigns.
- Scout out prospective volunteers via LinkedIn.
- Moderate comments and respond to inquiries.
- Analyze performance metrics, such as views, likes, and subscriptions, and use them to inform and optimize future strategies.
- Attend meetings, events, and other functions as needed to represent the organization and advance GFS’s goals.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience managing a LinkedIn profile preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of social media best practices and metrics.
- Experience with LinkedIn’s platform and analytics.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
