Volunteer: Instagram and TikTok Recruitment Strategy
About the role
We need a practical Instagram and TikTok strategy that increases awareness of STEM to Stability and converts social followers into qualified volunteers and chapter leaders. As a growing nonprofit, expanding our volunteer and chapter network is essential to increasing our capacity to deliver STEM education, digital literacy, mentorship, and career-development opportunities. Our Social Media Manager and leadership team need a strategy they can realistically implement after the project is completed.
Responsibilities
- Provide a brief audit of our current Instagram and TikTok presence, noting strengths, gaps, and initial opportunities.
- Deliver target-audience recommendations for each platform, specifying audience segments to prioritize for volunteer and chapter leader recruitment.
- Produce platform-specific strategies for Instagram and TikTok, including posting cadence, format mixes, and engagement approaches.
- Recommend content pillars and recurring content themes aligned to recruiting volunteers and chapter leaders.
- Recommend formats and use-cases for Reels, TikToks, Stories, carousels, and other appropriate post types.
- Create a 4-week Instagram and TikTok content calendar with post concepts, sample messaging, recommended formats, posting frequency, and clear calls-to-action.
- Design a social-media-driven volunteer recruitment campaign tailored to convert viewers into qualified volunteer applicants, including suggested messaging and CTAs.
- Design a social-media-driven chapter leader recruitment campaign with content concepts and messaging to attract students and young leaders interested in starting STEM to Stability chapters.
- Provide strategies for increasing reach through trends, collaborations, student-focused content, and community engagement tactics.
Requirements
- Social Media Marketing and digital marketing expertise.
