Volunteer: Help Refine and Strengthen a Fellowship Application

About the role

Free Brands is seeking a volunteer with experience in fellowship or grant applications, or in compelling narrative writing, to strengthen our application for a competitive social entrepreneurship fellowship. This fellowship would provide significant funding, leadership development, wellness support, and access to expert resources, enabling our founder to focus on building the organization and expanding our programs.

The volunteer will help pressure-test our story, sharpen how we articulate our vision and impact, and ensure our strongest evidence is clearly presented. The deliverable is a significantly strengthened application, refined through a few rounds of review and feedback before the deadline.

Responsibilities

• Review and provide feedback on draft application materials, including narrative responses and supporting documents.
• Help refine the storytelling to ensure it aligns with the fellowship’s prompts and criteria.
• Assist in highlighting Free Brands’ program data, research, and impact in a compelling way.
• Collaborate with the founder through iterative rounds of feedback to finalize the application.

Requirements

• Experience with fellowship or grant applications, or demonstrated skill in compelling narrative writing.
• Ability to provide sharp, specific, and actionable feedback.
• Commitment to working collaboratively with the founder to meet the application deadline.
