The Klubs4Kids, Inc. is a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of underserved youth through Recreation (Golf), Education (STEAM), Empowerment (Life Skills), Values (Character Development), and Nutrition. Our mission is to provide children with opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed both on and off the golf course.

About the role

We are seeking the assistance of a seasoned volunteer grant writer to help prepare, write, and submit grant applications that will allow us to expand our impact and help support Klubs4Kids Youth Development Programs. Some of the funding opportunities that have already been identified include:

  • Harley Langdale Jr. Foundation
  • The Coca-Cola Foundation
  • Georgia Power Foundation
  • The Knox Foundation
  • Georgia-Pacific Foundation
  • Community Foundation of South Georgia
  • Georgia’s Own Foundation
  • Golden Grant – McDonald’s

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist in preparing, writing, and submitting grant applications for the following funding sources:

  • Golf instruction and equipment for underserved youth
  • STEAM-based educational programming
  • After-school and summer enrichment programs
  • Lifetime and character development initiatives
  • Mentorship opportunities
  • Transportation assistance for participants
  • Nutritional support and healthy lifestyle education
  • Scholarships for children who otherwise could not participate

Requirements

We are seeking assistance with writing and submitting up to three grant applications over the next three months, while also helping us establish the framework for a sustainable, long-term grants development program that can support future organizational growth.

Qualifications

We are looking for a volunteer grant writer with experience in nonprofit grant writing, foundation relations, proposal development, or fundraising strategy. The ideal candidate should have:

  • Experience in researching and identifying potential funding sources
  • A strong understanding of grant writing best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of nonprofit regulations and compliance requirements

Skills

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Ability to develop compelling narratives and proposals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of nonprofit financial management
  • Knowledge of grant writing software (e.g., Grants.gov, Foundation Center)

No compensation will be provided for this volunteer role.
