Volunteer Drivers

About the role

We are in need of volunteer drivers to transport patients to their medical appointments using your own vehicle. Appointments can be local (West Islip or Bay Shore) or further away (Lake Success or Stony Brook). Appointments are typically scheduled Monday through Friday during business hours.

Responsibilities

• Drive patients to and from medical appointments (doctor visits, chemo, radiation)
• Provide reliable and compassionate one-on-one support during transportation
• Communicate availability and preferred service areas to the office

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Clean driving record
• Reliable and compassionate
• Willing to visit the office to provide a copy of your driver’s license

Schedule

• Weekdays (daytime)
• Flexible time commitment based on appointment needs
• Recurring opportunities

Participation details

• Good for individuals aged 55+
• Driver’s license required
• Age requirement: 21+
