This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. Klubs4Kids Connect is an active 501(c)(3) nonprofit building a new website to connect youth athletes in underserved communities with golf instruction, mentorship, tutoring, and life skills programming. Our site integrates donor-advised fund giving (DAFpay), Stripe payment processing, Supabase database management, and club registration systems. We have a Lead Developer and a Project Manager / Scrum Master already in place. We are seeking one pro bono Business Analyst / Technical Writer to support our core build team with development templates and documentation we can repurpose for future initiatives. KEY DELIVERABLES 1. Develop a documentation framework for our website development process, including templates for meeting notes, feature requirements, decision logs, and bug tracking. 2. Document the current website architecture, workflows, and key business requirements. 3. Create a post-launch documentation package that future staff and volunteers can use to onboard quickly and maintain the platform. 4. Provide recommendations for documenting future development work and maintaining these resources over time. 5. A documentation framework with templates our team can use going forward (meeting notes, feature requirements, decision logs) 6. A post-launch documentation package for board reporting and future team onboarding WHY THIS PROJECT MATTERS Klubs4Kids serves youth athletes in communities where access to sports programming, mentorship, and academic support is limited. Our website is the primary vehicle through which we connect kids to clubs, parents to resources, and donors to our mission. Getting this documentation right protects the organization's institutional knowledge and ensures our platform serves our community reliably for years. IDEAL VOLUNTEER PROFILE Background in business analysis, technical writing, project management, or nonprofit communications Strong organizational and written communication skills Comfortable working within a small, agile nonprofit tech team No engineering background required — this is a business-side role It is a necessity to have this information documented and available for current and future board members to see and understand the why's for choosing the tech stack, and details of the site build. The team leads have already set up days/times to meet weekly. I the founder and site developer/designer will work directly with you in making sure all documents and tasks are adhered to for day to day and future reporting. Klubs4Kids Mission: Klubs4Kids uses the game of golf as a platform to engage underserved youth in Southeast Georgia through STEAM learning, mentorship, wellness, and character development—helping young people build confidence, life skills, educational achievement, and purpose-driven futures.
