About the Role

We are looking for a marketing strategist with experience measuring campaigns across channels to help us understand what actually drives sales during our holiday campaign. During our campaign we promote twelve survivor-owned, product-based businesses through a mix of channels, social media spotlights, email marketing, and physical pieces like printed catalogs and in-person promotion and markets, all leading shoppers toward each business's featured day. On that day, shoppers who spend a minimum receive a gift with purchase they claim through a code. Those codes tell us something, but most of the buyer journey happens before the campaign day and across storefronts we do not own, on Shopify, WordPress, and others.

What You'll Do

  • Help us figure out what is worth tracking across all of our channels, digital and physical
  • Help set up the tracking pieces that are feasible, from UTM links and email click-through to catalog QR codes and simple sales check-ins with each business
  • Provide a clear strategy for what to measure
  • Give honest guidance on what else we would need or who else we might bring in to do more
  • Show us how to read our own channels so we can hand that knowledge directly back to the twelve survivors in our marketing accelerator, helping them make their own data-informed decisions long after our campaign ends

What We're Looking For

  • Experience measuring campaigns across channels
  • Understanding that we are not trying to build perfect attribution or over-engineer this
  • Ability to help us focus on what is both possible and worth our time
  • Comfort working directly with the founder as the single point of contact for fast and consistent feedback

About the Organization

Free Brands is a grassroots survivor-led nonprofit on a mission to create accessible pathways for survivors of trafficking and gender based violence to build wealth and freedom through entrepreneurship. We help survivors of trafficking and gender-based violence build businesses and lasting economic freedom. Americans spend over a trillion dollars a year shopping online, and our work rests on a simple idea: if just 1% of US adults shifted a single average $52 Amazon order to a survivor-owned business, roughly $138 million would flow into survivor-led economies.
