About the role
International SEVA is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to help recruit, screen, and manage volunteers while assisting with event planning, marketing, and community outreach.
Responsibilities
- Interview and screen new volunteers to ensure the best fit for our programs.
- Match volunteers with appropriate roles based on skills and interests.
- Provide onboarding, training, and ongoing support.
- Auxiliary in organizing and executing community outreach events, fundraising initiatives, arts & crafts classes, and the Microgreens Project.
- Cook logistics for volunteer participation in events.
- Collaborate with the team to promote volunteer opportunities through social media, email, and community platforms.
- Create marketing materials for recruitment and events.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and engaged.
- Maintain volunteer records and track participation.
Requirements
We are looking for a passionate and organized Volunteer Coordinator who loves working with people, has strong fundraising & organizational skills, and wants to make a real impact!
Qualifications
- Passion for community service, special needs advocacy, arts & crafts, and/or senior engagement.
- Strong communication & organizational skills.
- Experience in event planning, volunteer management, or marketing (preferred but not required).
- Comfortable using social media, email marketing, and volunteer databases.
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
