Volunteer Coordinator Part-Time Evenings

Volunteer Coordinators help to keep things running smoothly for volunteers and ministries that come to get food. A Volunteer Coordinator must have excellent customer service and people skills as they will interact with volunteers and ministries daily.

Responsibilities

• Direct and explain all rules to volunteers when they arrive for their shift and assign tasks to them.
• Keep the food selection area neat and organized, ensuring our partner ministries and volunteers have a good variety to choose from.
• Coordinate volunteers, oversee their work in displaying items, and assist them if needed.
• Keep floors clean.
• Answer any questions that our ministry partners may have.
• Maintain the floor stocked with plenty of items, ensuring everything looks clean and organized.

Requirements

• Must work well with teammates and have a strong desire to get along with others.
• Able to work quickly and efficiently and handle some pressure when it gets busy.
• Operate forklift and pallet jacks (training provided).
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Be detail-oriented and organized.
• Able to complete a background check.

Schedule

• Monday and Wednesday: 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm
• One Saturday a month: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
