Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm

Beaumont and South Houston
Responsibilities
- Select, recruit, train, interview, screen, assign and coordinate patient volunteers.
- Document ongoing efforts to recruit, train and retain volunteers of ages and ethnic backgrounds.
- Establish a need for volunteer services with the patient and family/caregiver and entire hospice team.
- Arrange volunteers to provide volunteer services to hospice patient and family/caregiver in accordance with the plan of care.
- Supervise volunteers in a timely and appropriate manner and evaluate performance on an annual basis.
- Develop, grow, maintain and oversee an active volunteer network for the hospice for direct and indirect patient care activities.
- Maintain and monitor volunteer time logs, data entry, and patient documentation to ensure compliance, accuracy and timely submissions.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a Volunteer Coordinator in a health care setting preferred.
- Hospice experience is preferred.
- Must be compassionate, organized, and excited to work in a fast-paced meaningful environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
- Must be computer proficient in typing and various programs, including background in EMR.
- Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.
Pay
$23.00 - $28.00 per hour (Average Pay Range)
