Volunteer: Climate House: Design + Integration of Core Brand Asset

About the role

Climate House is in a pre-launch phase and preparing for its first public programming in late 2026/early 2027. We are seeking support from a graphic designer and a communications strategist.

Responsibilities

• Create a complementary brand asset to be integrated into 2 .pdf templates for external communications.
• Generate 8 distinct static frames that visualize building a house frame by frame, moving from laying the foundation in frame 1 to a complete small house icon rendered by the 8th frame.
• Ensure the final product has the feel of a flipbook when integrated into the deck.
• Work closely with Climate House to develop core text-based messaging that aligns with the organization's mission and values.
• Provide guidance and assistance in refining messaging to ensure clarity and accuracy.
• Be available for processing calls and feedback calls to help inform and refine messaging.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• Experience in graphic design and branding.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and InDesign.
• Strong storytelling skills and ability to convey complex ideas through visual mediums.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Understanding of climate change and its impact on society.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess:

• A degree in graphic design, communications, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in graphic design and/or communications.
• Experience working with nonprofits or similar organizations.
• Portfolio showcasing relevant work.
