Volunteer: Board Recruitment Strategy

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. We would like assistance developing a strategy to recruit new volunteer Directors for our Board. We are seeking Directors who are vegan, committed to the humane treatment of farmed animals, and can pledge to donate personally or secure a specific dollar amount from outside sources. We also would be happy to have more non-vegans join our Advisory Board where they would do everything the main Board members do except vote. We would like a recruitment consultant to help us build board recruitment materials, define what we are looking for in a candidate given the vegan requirement and the give-or-get expectation, and put together an outreach and vetting process that our management team can run. Herd and Flock Animal Sanctuary Mission: Our mission is to provide a safe place for neglected and abused farm animals to live out their lives in peace and to raise awareness about the abuses inherent to the industrial agriculture system. We advocate for plant based diet and lifestyle.
