Volunteer: Board Onboarding and Engagement Playbook

About the role

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. We need a clear, documented approach to onboard and retain members of our board of directors and keep them engaged in our work. Our request is for materials that support both new and existing board members and that make onboarding and ongoing engagement repeatable and actionable.

Responsibilities

• Create a written onboarding and engagement playbook for new and existing board members
• Include practical checklists and actionable to-do lists for initial onboarding
• Include practical checklists and actionable to-do lists for ongoing engagement activities

• Expertise in Volunteer Management
• Ability to develop the playbook in clear, usable language for our board
