Volunteer Board Member – Fundraising & Partnerships
Beyond Nations is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving vulnerable children, widows, and families in Uganda through education, economic empowerment, and community development initiatives. Our mission is to empower communities in rural Uganda by breaking the cycle of poverty through education, medical assistance, vocational training, and holistic community outreach. We focus on marginalized and under-resourced communities, including orphaned children, impoverished families, and unemployed parents.
About the role
The Volunteer Board Member – Fundraising & Partnerships will provide strategic guidance, make introductions, and help strengthen the organization's fundraising and partnership efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to use their experience, networks, and leadership skills to make a meaningful impact internationally.
Responsibilities
- Attend quarterly virtual board meetings.
- Serve as an ambassador for Beyond Nations.
- Help identify potential donors, partners, and supporters.
- Make introductions to churches, businesses, foundations, or community organizations when possible.
- Provide strategic advice and guidance.
- Support the long-term growth and sustainability of the organization.
Qualifications
- Experience in nonprofit leadership, business, fundraising, education, ministry, marketing, or community engagement.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Passion for serving vulnerable children and families.
- Willingness to contribute ideas and connections.
