Volunteer: Accounting Systems Set Up

About the Opportunity

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. You'll help Disu Foundation set up a new bookkeeping system and establish regular recording, reconciliation, and reporting practices over 20-25 hours across 4-5 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Review our existing financial record-keeping and reporting systems during the first meeting.
• Migrate data to a new bookkeeping software (to be selected; recommendations welcome, including Excel).
• Set up account administrator privileges for our users.
• Provide basic training to one or two team members on the new system.
• Be available for up to two weeks post-training to address questions as we adjust to the new software and systems.

Requirements

• Experience setting up a bookkeeping system and/or software from scratch.
• Willingness to volunteer 20-25 hours over 4-5 weeks.

A designated team member will manage the volunteer and the project.
