Volo Kids - PT Nonprofit Accountant

Job Description

In this role, you will serve as a member of the Volo Kids Foundation team. The incoming accountant will prioritize business-wide success by maintaining financial operations, supporting payroll and monthly reporting processes, and leading execution of our annual financial statement audit and tax filings. This individual will work 10-15 hours per week.

Volo Kids Financial Operations

• Utilize financial & accounting platforms, including Quickbooks, Stripe, and Bill.com
• Process & Monitor AP / AR
• Process payroll & reporting for part-time and full-time employees and outside contractors
• Maintain compliance with City / State / Federal legal & business registrations

Volo Kids Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare monthly reconciliation and reporting documents
• Facilitate annual financial audit and 990 tax filings in collaboration with Foundation leadership and an outside audit firm
• Oversee and prepare income statements
• Provide any needed financial paperwork for grant and funding efforts, including expenditure reports and month/year end close documentation
