Purpose:

Provides leadership to a program that teaches and coaches students who desire to excel in sports and provides them with the opportunity for advanced study and participation under expert guidance in an environment conducive to learning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a volleyball program that promotes student athletic development and academic success.
• Coach 8th grade volleyball team, including game preparation, practice planning, and player evaluation.
• Work closely with school administration, teachers, and parents to ensure the program's success and alignment with school goals.
• Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding athletics.
• Manage team logistics, including scheduling games and practices, managing equipment, and communicating with players and families.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of coaching experience at the middle school level or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of volleyball rules and strategies.
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and community members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
