Volkswagen Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of current models and used vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with service and sales staff.
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies.
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor regarding additional service needs.
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Comply with all applicable company and legal requirements.
• Control vehicle repairs.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications are ideal.
• Strong automotive background.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Clean & valid driver's license.
• OEM certifications are encouraged.
• Technical or trade school degree preferred.
• Clean driving record/ valid CA drivers license.

Pay

The Pay Scale consists of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly and Flag Rate Compensation of between $34.00 and $45.00, plus a productivity bonus equivalent up to a maximum hourly rate of $56.00 per hour based on individual performance.
