About the role
We are seeking an experienced Voice & VoIP Technician to support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise voice communications systems within a hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and support Cisco VoIP/IP telephony systems, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM).
- Deploy, relocate, and troubleshoot IP phones, voice gateways, analog devices, and related telephony equipment.
- Perform Moves, Adds, Changes, and Deletes (MACD) for hospital users, departments, and clinical areas.
- Troubleshoot voice quality issues, call routing, voicemail, SIP, QoS, and network connectivity problems.
- Coordinate with network, infrastructure, and clinical IT teams to resolve telephony incidents.
- Maintain accurate documentation, inventory records, and update ITSM tickets for all work performed.
- Support emergency communication systems and ensure compliance with hospital operational and security standards.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience supporting Cisco VoIP and enterprise telephony environments. Experience with Cisco CUCM, Unity Connection, SIP, SCCP, voice gateways, and QoS is preferred. Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking fundamentals and structured cabling is also required. Experience working in healthcare or other mission-critical environments is highly preferred. Cisco CCNA Collaboration or equivalent Cisco Voice certifications are a plus.
