Responsibilities

  • Offers assessment, education, and support to clients about competitive work opportunities.
  • Affords assistance in direct job placement.
  • Provides long-term job coaching.
  • Advocates for clients as necessary, including communicating with employers and coordinating care with other service providers to improve client job retention.
  • Conducts liaison in the community, collaborating with potential employers, linking with other employment service providers in the region to further an integrated system of care.
  • Serves on committees and interagency teams to promote employment opportunities for individuals with mental illness.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree, an Associate of Arts degree (in vocational/child counseling, development, psychology, social services, or a related behavioral science), or a High School Diploma combined with equivalent experience.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a mental health or related setting.
  • Specialized experience in vocational rehabilitation, employment placement, job coaching, or job counseling may be substituted.

Qualifications

  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications (First Aid may be obtained within 30 days of hire).
  • A valid California Driver’s License and proof of automobile insurance.

Pay

$18.00 - $20.50 USD Per Hour

Schedule

Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM (30 hours per week)
