Vocational Specialist

About the role

The Vocational Specialist provides rehabilitative services and consultation as a member of a mobile multi-disciplinary treatment team. This role is comprised of 80% field work, travel to visit clients in their home and other settings.

Responsibilities

• Integrate vocational goals and services with the tasks of all ACT Team members.
• Assist through all phases of the vocational service provision.
• Perform routine clinical services as a member of the ACT Team.
• Responsibility for recipients and for charting services.
• Responsible for creating all or part of the service plan.
• Ensure revisions to the plan as the participant’s needs change.
• Advocate for the rights and preferences of the participant whenever possible.

Requirements

• BA degree in psychology, social work, or related field.
• Two or more years’ experience working with persons who are seriously persistently mentally ill under the supervision of a certified rehabilitation counselor.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Word/Excel.
• Ability to research material via the internet.

Skills

• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Basic knowledge of human services.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Pay

Minimum salary: USD $60,000.00 per year. Maximum salary: USD $63,000.00 per year.
