Vocational Rehab Peer Support Specialist

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Completed approved CPS certification by PCB (Pennsylvania Certification Board)
  • A valid driver's license and personal vehicle for travel to meet with clients
  • Basic computer skills are needed
  • Full-time position, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-4:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals in their recovery through advocacy, skills training, employment support, and coordination of services
  • Meet biweekly with a caseload of up to 20 clients
  • Document progress, facilitate groups, re-engage members, and maintain peer certification
  • Connect clients to services and resources, link clients to educational resources, contact with county stakeholders, and complete service plans
  • Use an EHR (Electronic Health Records system) for documentation
  • Assist clients in job readiness preparation by resolving employment barriers such as transportation system use challenges, resume completion, etc.
  • Develop a professional network of hiring managers and recruiters to present clients as potential candidates
