Client Solution Architects (CSA) is a dynamic and innovative organization at the forefront of technology solutions. We're committed to delivering exceptional IT services to our Navy clients and are currently seeking a skilled VMware Administrator to join our team onsite in Pensacola, FL.

For nearly 50 years, CSA has delivered integrated technology and operational support services to meet the defense and federal sector's most complex enterprise needs. Working from operations centers and shipyards to training sites and program offices, CSA deploys experienced teams, innovative tools, and proven processes to advance federal missions.

About the role

  • Design, implement, and manage VMware Horizon View environments.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to deploy virtual desktops, manage pools, and provide end-user support.
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure security and stability.
  • Develop and implement VMWare best practices and security protocols.
  • Create and maintain documentation for VDI configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, addressing VDI-related inquiries and issues promptly.
  • Participate in capacity planning and scalability assessments to accommodate growing business needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to virtualization.

Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain an active Secret Clearance.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Security Plus (or equivalent) certification.
  • 3 years of System Administration experience.
  • Experienced in VMware VDI administration.
  • Proficiency in VMware Horizon View and related VDI technologies.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of storage solutions, SAN/NAS technologies, and networking.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

  • VMware VCP (VMware Certified Professional) certification is a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Sit for extended periods of time and work at a computer workstation.
  • Use hands and fingers to operate keyboards, mice, and other input devices.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Specific vision abilities required may include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust.
  • Stand, walk, bend, or reach; access equipment located in data centers, offices, or under desks.
  • Lift and/or move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
