Travel: Up to 25% to customer sites in OK, UT, PA, and AL. Remote otherwise.

Contract Length: 9 months to start. US citizenship required. Candidates must be willing to be considered for direct hire after a 90-day period.

Responsibilities

• Administer and engineer VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, and VMware Cloud Foundation environments.
• Design and support hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud solutions across VMware and private cloud platforms.
• Develop virtualization architecture, perform workload migration, capacity planning, and implement high availability (HA), Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), and disaster recovery solutions.
• Automate infrastructure using VMware Aria/vRealize, PowerCLI, Terraform, Ansible, and API-based orchestration.
• Manage cloud networking, security, micro-segmentation, storage integration, backup/recovery platforms, and operational troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with DoD/Federal cloud environments, RMF/ATO requirements, STIG compliance, and enterprise cloud operations supporting mission-critical workloads.

Requirements

• Active Secret to Top Secret clearance required.
• Deep expertise in VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, and VMware Cloud Foundation.
• Strong experience designing and supporting hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud solutions.
• Expertise in virtualization architecture, workload migration, capacity planning, HA, DRS, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with infrastructure automation using VMware Aria/vRealize, PowerCLI, Terraform, Ansible, and API-based orchestration.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, security, micro-segmentation, storage integration, backup/recovery, and operational troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with DoD/Federal cloud environments, RMF/ATO requirements, and STIG compliance.
