VMI Sales Specialist

About the role

In this role, you will:

• Visit a pre-determined list of strategic customers daily for Vendor Managed inventory of cylinders and hardgoods.
• Ensure accuracy of order, pricing, and processing in JDE system, and convert orders into customer Purchase Order format and email to purchasing department when required.
• Help to deliver products to customers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with General Sales Manager, Territory Manager, and distribution supervisors.
• Identify and document Prostar conversion opportunities and meet quarterly with Territory Managers for review.
• Assist Territory Managers with conducting cylinder audits.
• Write credit memos for returned hard goods while taking orders on-site and explore opportunities to convert customers to LG&E Express or EDI payments to reduce transaction costs.

Requirements

You must have:

• A high school diploma (Bachelor’s is preferred).
• Excel / JDE / Computer skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
