VISUAL MERCHANDISING MANAGER
About the role
As a Visual Merchandising Manager at Primark, you’ll serve as the creative representative for visual presentation both within the store and across the business, partnering with store teams and the Regional VM Manager. You’ll lead and develop a high-performing visual merchandising team, delivering impactful visual displays that exceed customer expectations and maximize sales.
Responsibilities
- Lead the visual proposition across the store and manage a high-performing visual merchandising team.
- Collaborate with the Store Management team to create impactful visual displays that drive sales.
- Act as the creative ambassador for in-store visual merchandising, coaching and consulting with colleagues to align with Primark’s standards.
- Understand Primark customer needs, shopping habits, and fashion preferences to reflect the latest trends through product presentations, window displays, and mannequin styling.
- Manage and oversee the launch of new visual merchandising campaigns, providing direction and inspiration to the team.
- Share and coach best practices to influence the customer journey through effective visual displays.
- Hire, train, coach, and motivate a team of Visual Merchandisers, ensuring adherence to operating standards, cost control, and Primark guidelines on POS and pricing.
- Ensure visual merchandising contributes to an exceptional shopping experience, a positive work environment, and maximized sales.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in a Visual Merchandising Manager role, managing a team with a high-volume retailer.
- Ability to adapt and flex plans in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to relate to customer needs.
- Proven leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, inspire, and provide constructive feedback.
- Exceptional creative skills to deliver an inspiring visual proposition while maximizing sales.
- Strong people and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with colleagues and management.
- Ability to provide consultation and influence colleagues at all levels.
- Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Robust knowledge of fashion trends and commercial awareness.
- Experience delivering excellent customer service while maintaining high retail standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with managers, colleagues, and customers.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $66,560–$78,520. The base pay rate offered will account for internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
For promotional interim assignments: 10% additional responsibility allowance for the duration of the assignment.
For lateral interim opportunities: no change to existing pay rate.
