About the role

We're looking for an experienced Visual Merchandiser to help us in our warehouse and merchandise departments. Reports directly to Product Activation Manager. Responsible for monitoring the entire Merchandise department and responding to calls during Manager on Duty shifts. Maintains accurate inventory in all Merchandise locations. Works with the Merchandise Admin and location teams to execute accurate in-park and warehouse cycle counts. Works with Managers and Park Support team to track new product arrivals and re-orders to ensure timely product release or replenishment. Partners with the Product Activation Manager and location teams to execute location refreshes throughout the year. Assists with updating all replenishment information before and after location refreshes. Assists the Product Activation Manager with the generation and upkeep of location visual guides. Partners with the Product Activation Manager and location teams to keep shop window displays updated. Maintains fixture/merchandiser storage area, and alerts Product Activation Manager of any merchandising needs (new or replacement). Works with Park Support to ensure all product pricing is correct, and with the local Warehouse and park teams for any re-pricing needs. Assists the Product Activation Manager with price sign creation, distribution, and upkeep.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the Department's Annual Physical Inventory both in-park and at the Warehouse location pre-inventory prep work and post-inventory reconciliation.
  • Aid other departments with product needs such as items for giveaways, incentives, guest recovery, etc.
  • Responsible for all End of Month reporting, and yearly IM&R.
  • Aid the Admin team with Mail Order guests and transactions.
  • Assist in all Pin Trading preparations and refreshes (pin lanyards, trading boards, Pin Event prep).
  • Aid the Merchandise Leadership team in all department supervisory capacities including department duty manager responsibilities.
  • Oversee the performance of all department team members and leadership while on duty.
  • Manage daily department labor to accommodate changing business needs, daily break rotations and daily staffing assignments.
  • Resolve all Guest Service matters for the department in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide exemplary service and ensure Merchandise Standards are met consistently.
  • Ensure compliance of Labor Laws with regards to breaks and hours worked per day.
  • Establish and maintain a positive atmosphere which ensures the highest level of team member engagement, while supporting and demonstrating exemplary guest service.
  • Consistently practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), lifting and reporting unsafe situations.
  • Support and demonstrate the SEAS What It Takes To Succeed.

Requirements

  • At least three years of theme park merchandise leadership experience with no significant performance deficiencies within that period.
  • High School Diploma Required.
  • Availability that meets the business needs of the position; including ability to work a flexible schedule, to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment; must be able to work independently.
  • Possession of a high level of problem-solving, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possession of a knowledge of computer programs and databases including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required; Knowledge of MMS preferred.
  • Ability to push/pull/lift/carry 50 lbs or more on an occasional basis; frequent extensive walking, standing, occasional climbing; work environment varies from indoors in air-conditioned space to outdoor work in all weather conditions (i.e. heat, humidity, rain and cold).

Qualifications

  • Willingness to comply with all grooming standards and SEA employment standards.
  • Willingness to comply and ensure all team members comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.

Skills

  • Problem-solving, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation commensurate with experience.
