About the role
As a Visual Merchandiser & Butiksmedarbejder, you will be part of the Butik & Billet team within the Commercial department at Statens Naturhistoriske Museum. Your role is central to the guest experience, working every day to create cohesive, inspiring, and professional interactions with the museum.
- Plan and execute visual merchandising across the museum's shops, including the main shop and Botanisk Haves Butik.
- Develop creative and commercially viable product presentations aligned with exhibitions, seasons, and campaigns.
- Safeguard inspiring product presentations and maintain a high visual level in the shops.
- Guide colleagues in fundamental principles of visual merchandising.
- Participate in the daily operation of the shops, including stock replenishment, stock taking, and guest service.
- Engage guests in the shops and represent the museum as a host.

- Experience with visual merchandising from a museum or museum shop background, with experience from Botanisk Haves Butik being highly valued.
- Ability to translate themes, seasons, and campaigns into inspiring and sale-driving shop experiences.
- A keen eye for design, quality, and visual storytelling.
- Self-starter with responsibility for bringing ideas to life.
- Communicative and speaks Danish and English at a high level.
- Familiarity with common IT systems and Microsoft Office.
- Flexible and willing to work on weekends, holidays, and during vacation periods.

Pay
The employment starts from October 1, 2026, with a fixed-term contract starting as soon as possible. The position is a full-time position with a typical weekly working time of around 30 hours, split between approximately 8 hours as a shop assistant and 22 hours as a visual merchandiser. There may be weekend work every third weekend, as well as shifts during vacation periods and holidays.
