About the role

The Visual Media Specialist at Banda Group International (BGI) is responsible for producing high-quality digital photography and videography that supports the Laboratory's training, promotional, documentation, and communication needs. This hybrid, as-needed position serves as the primary point of contact for photographic and videographic services, collaborating with internal customers to assess project requirements and develop effective visual media solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Produce professional digital photography and videography for training, promotional, documentation, and other official Laboratory purposes.
  • Consult with customers to assess project needs, develop visual media concepts, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for photographic and videographic services, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and meet customer expectations.
  • Advise customers on Laboratory media policies, procedures, and best practices for visual communications.
  • Independently plan, prioritize, and execute multiple projects while resolving technical and creative challenges to deliver high-quality media products.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Photography, Videography, Visual Communications, Multimedia, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience producing digital photography and/or videography.
  • Experience developing presentations or other multimedia communication products.
  • Proficiency with professional photo and video editing software and digital asset management tools.
  • Experience managing projects from planning through final production with minimal supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of digital imaging, photography, videography, and multimedia production techniques.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
  • Ability to analyze customer requirements and recommend appropriate visual media solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting communications, training, documentation, or public affairs initiatives in a government, research, or technical environment.
  • Knowledge of organizational media policies, branding standards, and visual communication best practices.
  • Ability to solve complex creative and technical challenges while maintaining a high standard of quality.
