Responsibilities
- Teach free and ticketed art-making programs to visitors of all ages (primarily youth).
- Work with Manager of Visual Arts to develop projects and lesson plans for art-making programs.
- Aid in day-to-day operations of Visual Arts and Education programs, such as supply preparation, inventory, ordering, classroom organization, maintenance, open studio monitoring, and more.
- Lead exhibition tours to visitors of all ages.
- Assist with day-to-day operations of ArtsQuest Summer Art Camp as needed, including assisting in classrooms, facilitating drop-off and pick-up, monitoring recess and lunch breaks, supply preparation, and more.
- Support ArtsQuest events including First Fridays, Block Party, People’s Ball, Second Sundays, etc.
Requirements
- B.A., B.F.A, or A.A. (or equivalent work experience) in art education, fine art, art history, or related field.
- High School Diploma required.
- Experience working with children is desired.
- Knowledge of a variety of visual arts mediums desired.
- Strong problem-solving skills and creativity is a must.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills—ability to interact with both children and adults.
- Knowledge of English required. Bi-lingual ability in Spanish or other languages is a plus.
- Reliable transportation to travel between facilities as needed.

Pay

Schedule
This is a part-time position. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., however the employee must be willing and able to work outside normal business hours to support our events and activities throughout the year as needed, including evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary and during events and festivals.
