Visitor Security Control
About the role
Obsidian Solutions Group is seeking Visitor Security Control personnel to provide front-line physical security, access control, and customer service support for Army facilities. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, knowledgeable in Army Physical Security procedures, and capable of managing visitor interactions and contractor information in a professional, security-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage front-desk visitor access and verify identification in accordance with Army Physical Security policies.
- Provide clear, accurate directions and information to visitors while maintaining proper security protocols.
- Maintain visitor logs, access rosters, and contractor staff information with strict attention to detail.
- Utilize DISS to update and manage user accounts, certifications, and security data as required.
- Monitor entry points to ensure only authorized personnel and visitors access the facility.
- Deliver professional customer service and support to staff, contractors, and visitors.
- Use Microsoft Office Suite to prepare and maintain security documentation and reports.
- Identify and report physical security issues or irregularities to appropriate authorities.
- Support the implementation of physical security standards and procedures to maintain a safe environment.
- Cook up with security personnel and leadership to facilitate smooth and compliant visitor operations.
Requirements
- Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance required
- High school diploma
- Knowledge of Army Physical Security policies and procedures
- Familiarity with customer service principles and practices
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to manage contractor staff information securely
- Strong attention to detail and customer service orientation
- Able to provide clear, accurate directions and information to visitors
- Completed Defense Information Systems for Security (DISS) training and required certifications for user account access
Qualifications
- One year of experience in physical security activities
- Understanding of physical security concepts, theories, principles, and practices
- Ability to review, analyze, and help resolve physical security issues
