About the role
The Phylis Lan Lin School of Social Work and Counseling at the University of Indianapolis invites applications for a full-time, nine-month Visiting Professor in our CSWE-accredited MSW program.
Responsibilities
- Primary teaching responsibilities reflect a 4/4 load (24 credit hours per academic year) with MSW courses in online and hybrid formats.
- Participate in essential program functions, including advising, student engagement, program events, and collaboration with field education faculty.
- Mentor students in field-integrated learning and professional-identity formation.
Requirements
- At least two years of post-MSW practice experience required.
- Prior experience teaching in a university setting preferred.
- Evidence of or potential for teaching effectiveness.
- MSW from a CSWE-accredited institution.
- LCSW preferred but not required; relevant post-MSW experience in mezzo or macro settings will be considered in lieu of licensure.
Qualifications
- Evidence of professional expertise that strengthens the school's commitment to community partnership, applied research, and high-quality practice across diverse settings.
- Teaching experience that aligns with the NASW Code of Ethics, NASW Standards and Indicators for Cultural Competence in Social Work Practice, and CSWE Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS).
Skills
