Visiting Assistant Professor of Accounting
Primary Responsibilities
- Teaching 12 credit hours per semester in Undergraduate accounting courses include, but are not limited to: financial accounting, intermediate accounting, cost accounting, accounting information systems, federal taxation, advanced accounting and auditing.
- Advising accounting majors and minors, mentoring students seeking internship and job placement, overseeing assessment for the accounting major, fostering relationships with aligned professional organizations, assisting with curriculum management.
- Collaborate with business faculty and community partners to support experiential learning opportunities.
- Engage in service to the department, college, and university.
- Participate in professional development, including scholarship.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A master's degree in accounting, business administration or related field
- 3+ years accounting experience and professional certification required
- Doctoral degree preferred
- College teaching experience preferred
About the Role
The College of Business, Leadership, and Ethics at Viterbo University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Accounting. This is a full-time, visiting appointment begins August 2026, with the possibility of renewal or transition to a longer-term or full-time role contingent on institutional needs and performance.
