About the role

The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) invites applications for a one-year teaching position in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences. Candidates should demonstrate potential to become an innovative teacher-scholar, whose research, educational, and professional experiences have prepared them to contribute meaningfully to an evidence-based movement science program/curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Teach four courses each semester.
  • Contribute to the development of effective and engaging pedagogical strategies and state-of-the-art student laboratory opportunities.
  • Mentor by the Department Chair and further supported by TCNJ’s Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.

Requirements

  • Have obtained a Ph.D. in Exercise Science (or a closely related field).
  • Show evidence of ability to teach within a Kinesiology and Health Science through publications, conference presentations, dissertation research, teaching, or other educational or professional experiences.
  • Demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level.
  • Show evidence of strong communication skills in writing, speaking, and presenting with a teaching/learning philosophy that reflects a diversity of thought and experience.
  • Demonstrate cultural competency and ability to foster inclusive learning environments and mutual respect for students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

Pay

Range 22/$ 86,720.75 - $ 93,659.67

Schedule

35 Hours per week/Full-time
