Assistant Professor of Kinesiology
About the role
This position requires teaching and scholarship in kinesiology. Priority will be given to candidates with an interest in biomechanics or related disciplines. Candidates must be able to teach Biomechanics, as well as other lower- and upper-level undergraduate courses in Kinesiology, such as Exercise Assessment and Prescription and General Wellness. Candidates should also appreciate and take advantage of the connections possible at a liberal arts institution and be passionate about involving undergraduate students in their research. A Ph.D. in Kinesiology or other appropriate field is required.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Teaching Biomechanics and other Kinesiology courses
- Developing and maintaining a robust research agenda
- Engaging in scholarly activities and publishing
- Mentoring undergraduate students
- Collaborating with faculty and researchers at the nearby Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center
Requirements
A Ph.D. in Kinesiology or other appropriate field is required.

Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience teaching undergraduate courses in Kinesiology

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 per year.
