Visiting Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering, Surveying/Geomatics

About the Role

Wentworth Institute of Technology is seeking applicants for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor in the Douglas D. Schumann School of Engineering, teaching Surveying/Geomatics in Fall 2026. This position offers an opportunity to apply for a full-time Assistant Professor position for Fall 2027.

Responsibilities

• Standard teaching load of 16 credit hours per semester for Fall 2026
• Extension into the spring semester may be considered based on coursework availability, needs, performance evaluation, and potential interest

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

Pay

• Salary range: $34,000–$38,000 for one semester
• Final pay determined by the University based on relevant factors at the time of offer
• This position does not include a comprehensive benefits package
