Anticipated start date: August 2026. Full-time, non-tenure-track position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from a nationally recognized institution
- PhD degree in civil engineering or a closely related discipline from a nationally recognized institution (required prior to the effective date of appointment)
- Evidence of effective teaching and/or significant professional practice experience in civil engineering (preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe (highly desirable)
Responsibilities
- Teach multiple undergraduate and graduate courses in civil engineering, including associated laboratory sections as assigned
- Participate in curriculum development
- Mentor students
- Engage in service activities in support of departmental, college, and university initiatives
