About the role
The University of Florida, located in Gainesville, FL, seeks to hire a visiting assistant professor in tax as part of the College’s pursuit of excellence in legal education and scholarship. The University of Florida currently has the #2 tax law program in the nation and is the flagship university of the third largest state.
Responsibilities
VAPs will spend one or two years in residence at the Levin College of Law and will teach one class per semester in the JD tax or LLM tax curriculum. VAPs will have the opportunity to participate fully in the law school’s vibrant scholarly community and will benefit from the mentorship of our renowned tax and other faculty. The program’s goal is to prepare VAPs for a future career in legal academia.
Requirements
- Holders of JD, LLM, and SJD degrees as well as Ph.D. recipients or candidates in a related field
- Strong scholarly potential
- Commitment to excellence in teaching
- Enthusiasm for creating a welcoming environment for all students
