Visiting Assistant Clinical Professor

Qualifications

• Credentialed as a registered dietitian nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Earned Master’s degree in nutrition or nutrition-related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Terminal degree in nutrition or nutrition-related field (PhD, DCN, DrPH) or other terminal degree (EdD) plus a degree in nutrition.
• Current or recent (within the last five years) practice experience in acute and/or ambulatory care as a dietitian.
• Advanced practice credentials (e.g., CNSC, CDCES, or CDR Board Certified Specialist credentials).
• Previous teaching experience at the post-baccalaureate level.
• Demonstrated ongoing scholarly achievement and research expertise.
• Experience with ACEND accreditation under the Future Education Model Graduate Program standards.
• Experience with online pedagogy.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven organizational skills.
• Positive attitude, proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations, and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion in alignment with the institutional mission and values.
• Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
• Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
