Minimum Qualifications

  • Credentialed as a registered dietitian nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Earned Master degree in nutrition or nutrition-related field
  • Preferred: Terminal degree in nutrition or nutrition-related field (PhD, DCN, DrPH) or other terminal degree (EdD) plus a degree in nutrition
  • Current or recent (within the last five years) practice experience in acute and/or ambulatory care as dietitian
  • Advanced practice credentials (eg. CNSC, CDCES, or CDR Board Certified Specialist credentials)
  • Previous teaching experience at the post-baccalaureate level
  • Demonstrated ongoing scholarly achievement and research expertise
  • Experience with ACEND accreditation under the Future Education Model Graduate Program standards
  • Experience with online pedagogy
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Positive attitude, proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion of the institutional mission and values
  • Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting
  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work
