JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

PENN STATE DICKINSON LAW is seeking Visiting Assistant Professors of Law, Visiting Associate Professors of Law, or Visiting Professors of Law for the 2025-2026 academic year at our Carlisle, Pennsylvania location.

  • The rank of this non-tenure-track, limited-term appointment will be visiting assistant professor, visiting associate professor, or visiting professor, based on the applicant's experience level.
  • An extension of the appointment may be possible.
  • The appointment term may be for the full 2025-2026 academic year or just the Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 semester.
  • Title will depend on the experience of the candidate.
  • The compensation will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s current rank, title, education, and experience.

CURRICULAR NEEDS

Dickinson Law’s Carlisle location has the following curricular needs of visiting faculty for the 2025-2026 academic year:

  • Basic Federal Income Tax
  • Business Entities I & II (Unincorporated Business Entities and Corporations)
  • Legal Analysis & Writing
  • Legal Research

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate qualifications may include:

  • Relevant teaching or practice experience
  • Fellowships
  • Judicial clerkships at any level
  • Interdisciplinary scholarly interests
  • Post-J.D. studies, degrees, or certificates

COMPENSATION

The compensation will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s current rank, title, education, and experience.
