Vision System Technician 3rd Shift 11 PM to 7 AM

This role will work across both our Memorial and Pierce facilities.

Responsibilities

• Support all machine operations with vision systems.
• Attention to detail regarding specifications, graphics, and color when setting up the vision system.
• Work with Operators and Leads to ensure the process is being followed.
• Guide Card Finishing Technicians with vision adjustments.
• Oversee vision files to ensure they are optimized.
• Organize vision files with a correct naming convention.
• Update pass/fail criteria when encountering false positives or vice versa.
• First in line to troubleshoot and resolve vision system issues in production.
• Check machine status against standards.
• Independently research specific production problems by gathering data.
• Program new products with precise search areas for inspection and knockout areas to omit.
• Handle special requests and prototyping.
• Timely Corrective Action response and resolution to relevant project situations.
• Engage and support company-wide Safety and Cleanliness programs.
• Contribute to the EMS-Environment Management System by meeting compliance obligations, including recycling guidelines, proper waste disposal, and other environmental performance practices.
• Perform other job functions as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum two (2) years working in a manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check own work.
• Task-oriented with excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Enthusiastic attitude, cooperative team player, adaptable to new or changing circumstances.

• High level of computer literacy including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Outlook.
• Experience with measurement devices, such as calipers and micrometers.
• Works efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced, production work environment.
• High energy and strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task effectively.
• Coachable and eager to learn new tools (e.g., Laser technology, Minitab).
• Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
• Must be able to sustain office work for 8+ hours per day, including:
  • Sitting in an office chair
  • Typing
  • Reaching for the telephone
  • Standing at office equipment
  • Hearing for phone use
  • Sight for computer use
• Must be able to sustain factory work as needed, including:
  • Standing at machinery
  • Reaching and pulling to operate machinery
  • Sight for machinery operation
  • Walking through shop
• Office environment is of moderate noise level.
• Shop noise levels require protective ear-coverings.
