Set Up Technician 3rd Shift 11:00pm - 7:00am

About the role

Perform mold setups and changeovers as it relates to the production schedule. Perform prep work to prepare for mold changeovers and correct process related problems as directed by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on all tools currently in production such as cleaning and greasing of molds, etc. clean, inspect and lubricate equipment and machinery.
• Respond to trouble-shooting calls and mold performance issues to seek cause and perform or assist with repair.
• Evaluate and discuss the operation of assigned machinery with other affected personnel.
• Responsible to watch and operate lines as needed.
• Maintain good housekeeping in assigned areas and assist in the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the manufacturing area.
• Attend training sessions to maintain and/or improve technical knowledge and performance.
• Perform quality checks on containers to ensure proper specifications are maintained. Document any problems or adjustments made to assigned machinery.
• Follow Plant specified job specification and task list.
• Maintain safest possible working environment for self and all facility associates.
• Responsible for food safety, food quality and site safety.

Requirements

• Must be able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to follow written instructions.
• Must be able to use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Must be able to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must be able to operate material handling equipment.
• Must have tools to perform all functions of the job/position.
• Must wear all required PPE properly.
• Must conduct him/herself in a safe manner.
• Must keep the area around your workstation clean and free from dirt and debris.
• Clean assigned areas of the building or pieces of equipment as instructed by your supervisor.

Qualifications

• Proficient in injection molding experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, talk and hear, bend and climb.
