This is a position to support virtual learning assignments and activities for pre-school or school-aged students. The role is based in the Edinboro office but services students virtually; it is not a remote (work from home) position.
Schedule
Current hours: Monday–Friday, 9:45 am – 2:30 pm. Weekly hours can range from 10 to 29.5 and may fluctuate based on student attendance and needs. School year: 2026–2027.
Pay
- Aide I: $21.50/hour
- Aide II: $21.66/hour
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrable proficiency in computer skills, including the ability to work with multiple types of devices, peripheral accessories, and software programs (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Classroom)
- Successful completion of a live assessment to verify proficiency
Desired Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in an educational setting
Responsibilities
- Supervise children virtually and ensure student safety by following all health and safety guidelines
- Assist the classroom teacher to include students in all aspects of the school day
- Implement academic and social programming and strategies as developed by the team
- Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavior plans as outlined on the IEP and developed by the team
- Assist students with logging on to remote classes, engaging with teachers and classmates, adhering to schedules, and troubleshooting hardware or connectivity issues
- Partner with parents and remote teachers to understand each child’s needs in a remote environment
- Perform administrative, record keeping, and instructional support duties as required by the teacher or support professional
- Carry out instructional, technical, behavioral, or therapeutic activities as prescribed and supervised by the teacher or support professional
- Serve as a positive adult role model through appropriate dress, speech, and attitude
- Participate in staff meetings and training as needed
- Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality
- Other duties as assigned

- Strong technology skills for supporting online educational tools and applications
- Written language, technology, and interpersonal communication skills to support team, community, school staff, and family communication
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow telework/virtual teaching guidelines and procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Flexibility and ability to tolerate varied situations and personalities
- Reliable and adequate internet connectivity at home should remote work be required
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. The incumbent must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods and routinely uses standard office equipment, with the vast majority of time spent utilizing computers to complete daily tasks.
